Pastor Tim Overton was ordained by South Avenue Baptist Church in Pasadena, Texas. He holds a bachelor of arts degree in history and philosophy from Dallas Baptist University and a master of divinity degree from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.  Kingston Avenue Baptist Church called him as pastor in July of 2017.  He had served as Kingston's interim pastor since January of that year.  He enjoys reading, travel, sports, and is always interested in a good meal. 

 

Pastor Tim's speaking style is expository preaching.  He typically goes verse by verse through a particular book of the Bible.  Our congregation is usually going though one book on Sunday mornings and a second book during evening services.  A short devotion is given on Wednesdays before corporate prayer.  If you want to learn more about the Scriptures, our church will be a good fit.
